An improved notes experience and more

Admittedly, adding, viewing, and editing notes wasn't the most user friendly workflow in prior versions of PhotoPack Pro. This update provides a completely revamped notes experience for events and individual items... and now you can add notes to item categories, as well!

Keep reading to learn more or watch the following tutorial video to see how it works.

Better Visibility and Easier Access

With PhotoPack Pro 2.2, a new Notes icon has been added to all event cards on the main dashboard, and in category headers and item rows within checklists. This new icon is dynamic, switching to an orange highlight to let you know at a glance where you've added notes for yourself or your clients.

No more going into event or item edit modes just to add, edit, or view notes, and no more wondering which events have notes or not.

Longer Notes... with Style

In the past, notes for individual items were limited to 65 characters. Now, you can essentially write as much as you want, whether you adding general notes to an event, informational notes to an item category, or more contextual information on individual items. The viewing and editing experience is full screen now, too. No more trying to write notes in a small text field!

But wait, there's more: all notes now have rich text support, allowing you to add bold, italics, underline, or strikethrough formatting; assign headers to further organize your notes; and create numbered or bulleted lists.

Two smartphone screens display a notes app update, Version 2.2. The left shows a checklist interface; the right, rich text editing. Orange background.
Enjoy the far more user friendly and robust notes experience in PhotoPack Pack 2.2!

Shared Lists and Shared Notes

Notes were included when you shared or received a checklist previously, and with this new app release the sharing process has been updated to retain rich text formatting applied to existing notes. And, of course, any category notes included in a checklist are now sent over via the share process, too.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

In addition to the brand new notes experience, several fixes and tweaks are included in this release, as well.

Bug Fixes

  • Android app launcher critical fix: a bug existed where PhotoPack Pro would launch when users attempted to open some unrelated file types

  • Searches with no results can now be exited back to the applicable screen

  • Copy/Move Category destination selection lists now scroll properly for users that have more than 4-5 existing events to choose from

  • Copy/Move Item destination selection lists now scroll properly for users that have more than 4-5 existing events to choose from

  • Copy Event selection lists now scrolls properly for users that have more than 4-5 existing events to choose from

  • Notes fields were hidden by the keyboard when editing (resolved with the new Notes design)

Improvements

  • Stay informed of app updates with a What's New pop-up that is triggered when you first open the app after an update is installed

  • Access What's New information via a new option in the About & Support section of the settings screen

  • Minor UI inconsistencies cleaned up throughout the app

  • Hidden categories within events are now listed A-Z
